| How do I protect my corporation's name?
|
||
Copyright, trademark and the common law give you certain rights in respect to your company's name and trademarks. It's difficult, however, to protect your business name if you are unaware of the infringement. To determine whether or not another company has registered a name that is identical or confusingly similar to yours it's good idea to periodically obtain and review a NUANS® report. If you find a name being used by another business that you believe to be confusingly similar to yours you should consult with a lawyer conversant with trademark and intellectual property law. |
